This was only my second episode of the twilight zone, and it was on this day when I started this series. Honestly I definitely feel like I was so late to this show. Why I say this here instead of my thoughts on episode one is because this was a much more reflective episode for me than the first. It is a subject matter of which all people has a passing curiousity or fear of at minimum. Though death does scare me badly at times, here is a episode where death feels like a business man. It brings a face to the unown in a compelling and relatively warm way. But don't mistake the death of this story as a common man or somebody to be tampered with. Lew Bookman is the main character alongside death, and he tries hard to trick and bargain with death. This works enough to get the target off his back, but at the steepest cost I can dream. A child is put in death's list in the old man's place, and now it is up to Mr. Bookman to distact death to save the little girl's life.
